Training and the Park

Mom took me to the park with the lake again. She says I need to be more sociable, something about growling and snapping at other dogs?
I am just protecting her. gees.

I am being very nice

So see here I am being nice and not growling at any pup........

A nose to nose encounter

This little guy was driving me crazy! I would be clear on the other side of the
lake and he would run over and take my wubba clear back to the
far side!! And my mom had to go and get it back for me.

A Husky and an Austalian sheep dog both had one blue eye and one brown eye.

This little guy attacked a Pit Bull!! He wanted to show who was the boss.
(I had to leave b/c of the pit bull he would not leave my behind alone)

Mom says I drool too much when I am at the lake. Does any one know
why this would happen?

Waiting on my mom to catch up to me..

These videos are of me, of course, and I am practicing my fast retrieve.
Normally when the wubba goes out to where I have to swim for it, I tend to just
leave it out in the lake and bark at it for a bit and then walk away.
Mom does not like that.

But not today! I was running and diving after my wubba, even when it was far out there!
My mom was so proud of me.
So now we are going to keep practicing and I am going to challenge my
Aunt Mabel to a swim off!!

Well I am very tired now.

Taking a nap next to my mom. Later. =)

Don't forget to post you sway, wiggle or strut for us!!

Hi Mason,

Hi Mason! Oh I know how some of those doggies at the park can be thieves. I get my kong stolen all the time bol! But you are a pawsome swimmer - I love you barking at your wubba when it's too far out! Glad you got some zzzzzs in - tiring stuff that swimming!
Note to your mom: My mom's learning curve is going up, but there are still some glitches. She has a little vid camera and has been trying and trying to upload her vids of me wiggle walking, but it won't take. If and when it does, she will (try) to figure out how to send it. She knows there's a deadline and I hope she beats it!!!

Hey Mason - that's some pretty fancy swimming - I would be afraid to swim out there like that! I can sure empathize with your dog park troubles - there's always a meanie there when I'm there - I just ignore them but mommy always makes me leave cause she's a fraidy cat!

Again - I'm really impressed with that swimming - I jumped in the lake today - but I got right back out -

Is the lake actually at your park?? If so, we need to find a park like that.

Brice stole another pup's ball at the park today but Momma made him give it up and marched him over to apologize to the other pup.

Oh Mason, We are so impressed with your upsome good retrieving abilities. You looked so professional! Our mom would love to see us do that in the water. Hootie hasn't even ventured in & I've only gone in up to my legs at the dog lake. This Saturday we have a Dale meet up at the dog water park. We'll keep you posted if we get brave.

Hi Mason,
Don't know about the drooling thing, maybe it's because you are super excited to go swimming. Or maybe it's because the butt sniffing makes you a little nervous. Luna doesn't like butt sniffing either ;)

Mack said...

Of course everyone wants to sniff your butt!

What fun you had at the lake!

Mom says we are really gonna have to try and get my wiggle on tape because I am sooo bow legged it's cute how I walk!!

WOW-so proud of your retrieving, Mason D! (wiping tears of pride from eyes with paw).
Be careful at the doggy park, some dogs are very quick to get angry and I wouldn't want to see you get hurt. I can't even imagine you growling in a mean way, maybe in a sexy growl. Yes-that I can imagine and do quite often.
I will try to get Mom to catch my wiggle this weekend for you. It's usually very fast outside but in the evenings after I have a good run, my wiggler slows down. Usually when I follow Dad to the kitchen for green bean snacks is a good time to catch my slow wiggle.
You're so kind saying you'd like me without teeth, but don't worry, I still got 'em all!
Have a great day at the lake, wish I could be with you.
Woofs and wiggler slobbers,
Chester

Gus, Louie and Callie said...

I always leave the stick in the lake too if I have to swim for it.. I think that if I bark at it it will come to me. The Red's have learned from me to not get it either. When Callie was little she swam after it but I have taught her different now.
