Mason cut her paw and it will not stop bleeding.
What to do.......................?
I think it has stopped finally......
After a cleaning, ice pressure, gauze wrap and a sock I think it has stopped.
So now I am going to rest here with my Alfie pillow until I feel better.
Mom says no yard playing or dock diving for a few days, how sad.

w00fs, me mite have to take her to the er...is it bleeding really bad, like gushing...do like we do, use the clean cloth holding it firmly down on the paw...c if that will help clot it..

yep - get thee to an ER - and in the meantime, tape it up (my Mom and Dad will clean it up as best they can, put on some neosporin, and then take a small dish towel and wrap the foot up, using duct tape to secure it). Hope it's not too bad a cut!

Oh No! Glad you got it stopped. I have heard paws bleed like stink! Hope you heal fast and get back to your dock diving. Those were some impressive dives. Moose is nowhere near so brave. He would not get into my old pool because the stairs were too steep!

Poor Mason - sounds like you did all the right things. Compression is very important, which you did, but also rest and I'm not sure about ice packs for doggies, but if Mason tolerates it, then I imagine it can't hurt, but it seems as if you did all the right things if the bleeding stopped. Get better Mason!

You look cute and pitiful. I am sorry you hurt yourself. Africa head bunted (sp?) her lover in the nose and now he has a huge bleeding wound. At least you didn't hurt anyone else.

Heya Mason,
Boy, what a coincidence. Jack sliced a pad on his right foreleg paw (see our blog). He's got a bandage and snow boot on the opposite paw than yours. Jack probably needs a couple of stitches to close up the pad so he's going to the vet tomorrow. We hope that your's isn't a slice like his. Take care of it and watch out for infection.
